PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS

CLIENT REQUEST

The owners asked IMC to build a home for their business: a dance studio with special floors that would be both durable and resilient, meeting areas, music rooms, and studios.

IMC SOLUTION

Install a hybrid floor system over a standard sub-floor in order to create bounce for the dancers and to provide sound deadening for the tenants below The structure consists of Agilia concrete, neoprene spacers, raised secondary plywood layer with a polyflor finished surface on top. In addition, connection points were added to the ceiling to allow for hanging hoops and silks classes as well.
